A variation on a past workshop. This time we will be combining the art of marbling different colours of clay with the coiling method to create bigger pieces with unique marbled effects.
Requirements: We will be using the 5 versions of the PSH clays ( light brown, red, grey, black and speckled). Before the workshop you will be able to buy any combination of colors at $7 per lb.
Join us for a workshop on creating unique rice paper underglaze transfers to design one-of-a-kind pottery pieces. This session will cover various techniques for applying your artwork onto rice paper, which can then be transferred onto your pottery. By layering these transfers, you’ll add depth and dimension to your surface designs.

If you have finished your lvl 1 or lvl 2 courses and still feel a little lost when it comes to glazing this workshop might be for you. This is not the 2 day intense workshop on glaze making but an introduction into the properties of glazes and how they effect application, different methods of applying glazes and tips for the best results.
Requirements: Bring Bisque pieces to glaze
Slip into the world of slips. The use of slips allows you add colours and texture to any piece. Both textural and structural types of slips will be discussed. Once you start using slips you may wish you had not bought so many expensive underglazes.
Requirements: Bring Greenware pieces to work on.
Making custom underglaze stamps using Lino blocks. Taking either your own drawing or from a simple printed image and carving the reverse into the Lino block to get a washable and reusable underglaze stamp.
Requirements: Bring Greenware/Bisque pieces to work on. Speedball speedy carve block or equivalent, a Lino cutter set, a drawing/ marker to draw right on the block, and a simple black and white image. Underglaze of your choosing. Direct your questions about materials /tools needed to Jade.
